David Pocock has torn his ACL while playing against the Waratahs.
The Wallabies have just suffered a major blow ahead of the British and Irish Lions tour, with likely-captain David Pocock ruled out for 6 months after scans revealed he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament over the weekend.
The 24 year-old suffered the injury while playing for the Brumbies as they mounted an impressive win over the New South Wales Waratahs.
The Australian openside flanker fell awkwardly in a tackle by fellow Wallabies player Adam Ashley-Cooper.
The torn ACL could see Pocock miss the three-Test Lions series starting in June and the Wallabies’ entire Rugby Championship campaign as well as the rest of the Super Rugby season.
