Rangers even series with dominant home win.
The New York Rangers have erased a 2-0 series deficit and tied it up at 2-2 after their second consecutive home win over the Capitals.
Dan Giradi and Derek Stepan scored two early goals in the final period to give the New York an unassailable 4-2 lead, which they were able to ride to the finish, despite a late scare of a Caps comeback thanks to a Karl Azner score.
With the series even, Washington will host game five on Friday, looking to stop the momentum that the Rangers currently have behind them, as this post-season matchup has the makings of a classic.
