The Reds skipper is currently preparing with the rest of his Three Lions team-mates for next month’s World Cup in Brazil, with the tournament set to take place in hot and humid conditions.
And in this new film, entitled Lucozade Sport Conditions Zone – the Heat which is narrated by Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch, Gerrard is melted using CGI and 3D body scanning technology.
“The weirdest thing on the day was definitely taking a 3D scan of my body,” said Gerrard in the Daily Mail.
“I had to stand on turning plates which rotated me whilst millions of cameras took photos from absolutely every angle.
“The whole process was actually really quick though, which made seeing the final version and watching yourself melting on camera even stranger and very surreal.”
