Branko Brnovic says a ‘complete’ Montenegro would have beaten England.
Montenegro boss Branko Brnovic says if his team was ‘complete’ they would have beaten England after Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier in Podgorica ended a 1-1 draw.
Brnovic did concede that his team were ‘overwhelmed’ and ‘happy’ with the result, which leaves them top of the group, two points ahead of Roy Hodgson’s England.
Hodgson admitted that the overall feeling in the England camp was one of disappointment but stressed his team’s fate was still in their own hands.
Wayne Rooney put England in front on six minutes but the visitors could not hold on and Dejan Damjanovic grabbed a deserved second half equaliser for the home side.
