Champions looking to continue their impressive run of late.
Manchester City assistant coach David Platt says that whatever happens in Wednesday night’s Premier League encounter with Wigan Athletic at the Ethiad stadium will have no bearing what so all on the outcome of next month’s FA Cup final against the same opposition.
The top-flight champions host the relegation strugglers at Eastlands looking to continue their recent fine form in both the top flight and the Cup.
City beat champions elect and city-rivals Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford last week, while on Sunday they also overcame the current Uefa Champions League and cup holders Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley stadium in their cup semi-final.
