Roger Federer made it all look so easy as he stormed to a 6-4, 6-2 and 6-2 win over Sam Querrey in the second round of Wimbledon on Thursday.
The Swiss ace completed the win in less than an hour and a half as he booked a third round meeting with Sam Groth over the weekend.
Federer was at his best as he dominated proceedings throughout, controlling the pace of the match and hitting numerous winners past his American opponent.
Querrey’s big serve was a weapon as always as he provided some resistance in the first set, but he didn’t have the answers to ensure that it was a competitive day’s work for his rival.
Despite Federer’s detractors, the 33-year-old continues to prove them wrong as he performs at a high level, particularly on his favourite surface at Wimbledon, and it remains to be seen whether or not he can add another tournament triumph.
To put the icing on the cake, the seven-time Wimbledon champion pulled off this ridiculous shot between the legs and importantly, it also won him the point.
