There are some bone-crunching hits in the NFL, but very rarely does a player get absolutely annihilated on a play the way Indianapolis Colts PR Josh Cribbs was in the Divisional Round of the playoffs against the Denver Broncos.
After being forced to punt, the Broncos raced towards the awaiting Cribbs. Although the NFL’s all-time leading KR TD scorer signaled for a fair catch, the Broncos gunner was pushed into Cribbs and promptly knocked him out in one of the biggest hits of this weekend.
Ouch! Cribbs is going to be feeling that one tomorrow, and maybe for the rest of month as well.
Cribbs fumbled the ball on the play but the officials called him down by contact, saving the Colts from a dangerous turnover.
