New recruit not exactly endearing himself to his new fans.
The NBA draft for most players is a happy occasion, a life time of hard work has come to fruition and they are now getting the chance to get paid to play a game they love.
It appears Zach LaVine is not most players.
The former UCLA guard did not look happy at all when his name was read out as the 13th pick of the 2014 NBA draft with the Minnesota Timberwolves selecting him.
LaVine slammed his head on the table in front of him and appeared to say “f— me” when he stood up to start walking on stage.
Now whether it was “me” or “man” following the curse word remains to be seen.
The first could be disgust at being drafted by a team that is barely hanging onto easily its best player in Kevin Love with the Timberwolves trying desperately to get some kind of asset in return for Love’s departure.
The later could be relief that the exhausting experience of draft week was over.
But fanatix feels his face told the true story as he was deadpanned after getting up from his seat and journalists on the floor on draft night tweeted that LaVine was far from happy where he was going for the first time in his NBA career.
