Reds face tricky trip to St Petersburg in the Europa League.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers knows that his side will face a tough examination when they take on Zenit St Petersburg in the first leg of their round-of-32 Europa League clash in Russia on Thursday.
“I haven’t spoken directly with the players,” Rodgers said in his pre-match press conference when asked about the possibility of racist chanting being directed at some of his black players from the home supporters.

“At the moment we still have got another few meetings with the players to go and I won’t make reference to it because we have players that maybe it could affect.
“As I said we’re here for football and we’re very hopeful it’ll be a terrific game of football and anything that goes on outside of the field can be taken care of.”
