Ten of the greatest strikes in modern Arsenal history.
Samir Nasri (v Porto, 9 March 2010)
Nasri is, of course, no longer a popular figure at the Emirates Stadium but there’s no doubting that this zig-zag effort against Porto in the Champions League round of 16 will be fondly remembered by the Gunners’ faithful.
Arsenal had not overturned a first-leg defeat in a European tie for more than 30 years when they hosted the Portuguse outfit, trailing 2-1 from the first leg. But a Nicklas Bendtner hattrick (we’re serious) and a goal from Emmanuel Eboue, plus this weaving Nasri effort, ensured that Arsene Wenger’s men progressed with a thumping 6-2 aggregate victory.
