Chelsea taken firm grip of FA Cup tie as game enters final third.
Chelsea have all but secured their quarter final tie with Man United as they lead a resolute Middlesbrough side in the Wednesday night FA Cup game.
After a goalless first half Ramires struck five minutes in to give the Blues a deserved lead after failing to break down the Boro defence in the first half.
The cool finish was exactly what the Blues needed as the early goal stopped Middlesbrough from continuing to gain confidence as the half went on.
The tie was then all but sealed when Victor Moses tapped in from close range as fitness and depth in talent started to show as the second half has worn on.
This will be a big result for Chelsea who are clearly lacking in confidence right now, and will certainly help with the pressure that Benitez is currently under from a large contingent of the Chelsea faithful.
