Coach Robbie Deans to consider his options as British and Irish squad lands in Australia.
The Wallabies have lost lock Sitaleki Timani and have backrower Scott Higginbotham in doubt for this month’s Test series against the British and Irish Lions.
Timani, the NSW Waratahs second rower, broke his right thumb during last weekend’s 23-22 Super Rugby loss to the Canterbury Crusaders and will require surgery.
Higginbotham had scans on Monday after sustaining a dislocated right shoulder in the Melbourne Rebels’ 33-20 loss to the Queensland Reds in Brisbane.
The Rebels captain will be reassessed later this week after the shoulder has been allowed to settle.
Timani and Higginbotham were replaced in the preliminary Wallabies squad last weekend, with their places being taken by NSW Waratahs lock Kane Douglas and Western Force backrower Ben McCalman.
The Wallabies squad of 25 will be extended to 31, with the final six players to be added on June 11.
