The Portuguese tactician was speaking to the media ahead of his side’s Saturday Night Football clash with Southampton, but refused to be drawn into making a comment about the situation.
Mourinho was cleared of making any discriminatory comments towards Carneiro, although she has since insisted that she was never asked by the FA to make a statement about the incident, as reported by Sky Sports.
As a result, it remains to be seen whether or not the saga continues as Carneiro failed to return to her position and has now left the club.
It stems from the incident during the Swansea game in August in which the former first team doctor went on to the pitch to tend to Eden Hazard who had picked up an injury.
However, Mourinho was left infuriated as it risked seeing his side reduced to nine men in the closing stages of the game after Thibaut Courtois had earlier been sent off.
The Premier League champions were held to a 2-2 draw in that game, and they have struggled for consistency ever since as they continue to languish in the bottom half of the table after seven games.
