With Man United down a goal after just four minutes of play, Juan Mata and Chris Smalling came up big to bring the Red Devils a comeback victory and their first points on the table – bringing them to an even three points will their Group B foes.

Over in Germany, Man City needed to make a comeback against a resilient Borussia Mönchengladbach that were finally able to get one past Joe Hart at the 54′ mark.
After a fortuitous own goal by Andreas Christensen tied the match up, Sergio Aguero got the game-winning score on a 90′ penalty to help the Citizens avenge their prior home loss to Juventus.
The big winners of the day though were Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, who both got huge road wins to continue their undefeated ways on the Group A table. The two clubs have beaten their foes by an 11-0 margin through the first two matches but face each other next.
Juventus still have a commanding lead over Man City and Sevilla in Group D after they beat the Europa League champs in Turin. In Group C, Benfica managed to beat Atletico Madrid on the road to take the lead in their group.
