4. Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin
The Badgers improved to 7-2 with a 34-16 win over Purdue, and Gordon rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries while adding 44 receiving yards with a touchdown catch. The Badgers running back rarely gets involved in the passing game, but he proved that he is capable with his touchdown.
Gordon now has over 1,500 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns on the season, and he is clearly the reason the Wisconsin offense can function as highly as it does. He has rushed for at least 122 yards in every game that he has been healthy, and three of his games have consisted of at least 200 rushing yards.
Stats: 198 carries, 1,501 rushing yards, 19 touchdowns; 11 receptions, 83 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns
