2. Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
The Bulldogs quarterback threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns against UT Martin along with a rushing touchdown. The dual threat now has 11 rushing touchdowns on the season, and Mississippi State is still No. 1 in the country.
However, Prescott still has some work to do to become the unquestioned frontrunner in the Heisman race. He will have two golden opportunities ahead as the Bulldogs have to face Alabama and Ole Miss in the next three weeks. If Prescott can post solid numbers against these teams and keep his team undefeated, it will be difficult to not award him the Heisman Trophy.
Stats: 2,231 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 61.1 completion percentage; 143 carries, 779 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns; 2 receptions, 35 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
