3. J.T. Barrett, QB, Ohio State
The Buckeyes quarterback got off to a rough start against Indiana, but he recovered and had a fantastic performance. Barrett threw four touchdowns against two interceptions with 302 passing yards on 25-of-35 passing. The quarterback has proven that he is a better overall quarterback than Braxton Miller, who was supposed to be a huge loss.
However, Barrett has put Ohio State in prime position to win the Big Ten championship and sneak into the playoff. Barrett will need to slice the Michigan defense and put on a memorable performance in the Big Ten title game to make a case for winning the Heisman.
Stats: 2,658 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 64.8 completion percentage; 156 carries, 849 rushing yards, 9 touchdowns
