2. Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin
Gordon had one of his worst games of the season against Minnesota, but that is a laughable thing to say as he rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. Wisconsin finished their regular season with a 10-2 record, and they will face an Ohio State team without J.T. Barrett.
If Gordon can capitalize on this unfortunate injury for the Buckeyes and lead the Badgers to a Big Ten title, he may be able to become the frontrunner for the award. Gordon is easily the best running back in the country as he leads it in rushing yards and touchdowns while rushing for eight yards per carry.
Stats: 283 carries, 2,260 rushing yards, 26 touchdowns; 17 receptions, 151 receiving yards, 3 touchdowns
