2. Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
Mississippi State fans would beg to differ with Prescott being placed anywhere lower than first in a Heisman watch, and they have a right to since the Bulldogs are still No. 1 in the country. However, Prescott had another underwhelming performance statistically. After throwing two interceptions against Auburn, he threw another one against Kentucky with only one touchdown pass.
He rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns, but running back Josh Robinson was the main reason for their latest win as he rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Besides, a Heisman frontrunner should perform better against a middle-of-the-road SEC East team to separate himself from the pack. Nonetheless, the dual threat is a lock for New York and a worthy Heisman candidate.
Stats: 1,694 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 60.3 completion percentage; 124 carries, 664 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns
