The 22-year-old linked up with the Gunners in 2011 from Brazilian giants Fluminense. However, despite being dubbed as the ‘new Neymar’ he was unable to play due to work permit problems.
He then spent five loan spells with different clubs, including Almeria in La Liga, where he currently is now, but he has confirmed that he is due back with the north London side next term after being finally granted a work permit in October.
“It’s a dream for me to play there. Arsenal is a great club,” he said.
“Unfortunately this was not possible because of these administrative concerns, but I’m ready now.
“If all goes well, I’ll be out there next season.”
