Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is on the verge of joining Inter Milan after an improved offer of £5m has been tabled for the 2014 World Cup winner, reports CaughtOffside.

Podolski will initially join Inter on-loan after completing the move over the weekend and then that will become permanent in the summer should the Germany international impress.
The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a departure from the Emirates Stadium for some time and although reports on Thursday that he had stormed out of training were denied by the attacker, it is true he is struggling for game time currently.
Podolski appears to have fallen down the pecking order under manager Arsene Wenger and this season has been limited to mainly substitute appearances.
By selling the German Wenger would also free up more funds to strengthen areas of his squad that need it, with a new defensive midfielder and centre-back remaining a priority.
