Dutchman is currently plying his trade in the Turkish capital.
Galatasaray midfield player Wesley Sneijder has opened the door to a possible move to Chelsea this summer to be reunited with his mentor Jose Mourinho, says the Daily Mail.
The skilful Netherlands international has only been with the Turkish giants since the turn of the year, when Sneijder signed for Gala from Serie A outfit Inter Milan for just 7.5 million euros on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
However, rumours have been rife of late that the 28-year-old is not happy in Istanbul and is keen to depart the Turkkish capital when the summer transfer window finally opens for business on July 1.
Sneijder featured in 16 matches for Galatasaray since he arrived in January, recording just four goals and one assist in the process, including only three strikes in 12 league contests as the club went on to claim the Turkish title.
And now the playmaker has refused to rule out a reunion with the man who signed him for Inter, telling SporX: “I have a great relationship with Jose Mourinho.
“We have kept in contact since our days at Inter Milan. Does Chelsea need a playmaker? I’m not sure. In football you can never be certain of what will happen next but I’m very happy in Turkey.”
