Sam Allardyce wants at least one more big-name signing for West Ham this summer.
Sam Allardyce is pleased with his signings so far this summer, but believes that one will help push West Ham further up the table.
“I think the new signings will add real quality to the squad, but you always want a little bit more and you are never satisfied as a manager,” the Hammers boss is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
“What I want in that one player is top quality. I want that player to challenge the players already here for their place immediately. That would help improve the team.
“I want somebody to come in and make a real difference, as we did last year with the players we brought in.
West Ham have been linked with strikers Wilfried Bony, a target for Swansea, and Duvan Zapata, having already acquired forward Andy Carroll from Liverpool for £15m last month.
Allardyce has also bought in Romania captain Razvan Rat on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk and Spanish goalkeeper Adrian.
