The Cameroonian has impressed in his season-long stay at Upton Park this term, having joined after failing to make a first-team breakthrough for parent club Barcelona.
West Ham would ideally like to sign Song on a permanent basis, but it seems the player himself has set his sights on a move to a bigger club, with Liverpool or City mentioned as his preferred destinations.
The 27-year-old has previously shone for Arsenal in the Premier League, and may feel he is suited to being a regular in a top four side in England, even if things didn’t work out for him after he left the Gunners for a big move to Barca in the summer of 2012.
Song made over 200 appearances for Arsenal in his first spell in English football.
