West Indies 5/2 – Hope 5 (c Cook b Anderson)
Anderson certainly had the number of the Windies top order, the bowler found Hope’s edge as Cook got down low to scoop the ball up before it touched the turf. It needed a referral but Hope walked.
West Indies 21/3 – Samuels 9 (lbw Anderson)
Another batmsan, another brilliant dismissal from Anderson who set up Samuels with an inswinger and left it plumb on his pads.
The umpire called it without hesitation though Samuels decided to waste a review with not a cat in hell’s chance.
West Indies 37/4 – Bravo 9 (c Jordan b Ali)
After the lunch break, Moen Ali continued England’s good form, tempting Bravo to a half-hearted stab just three balls in to the session and Jordan made a simple catch.
West Indies 82/5 – Chanderpaul 25 (c Jordan b Root)
But what a catch this was from Jordan. Just as Chanderpaul was building some momentum and beginning to frustrate the visitors, the fielder – who started going the wrong way – contorted his body and stuck a hand out to snatch the ball from the air. Brilliant.
