West Indies 107/6 – Ramdin 13 (c Buttler b Broad)
Broad’s first wicket for the day. A good seamer caught Ramdin out and his edge carried through to Buttler with a simple catch. England were well on top at this point.
West Indies 124/7 – Holder 5 (c Buttler b Stokes)
Great bowling from Stokes tempted Holder with a shorter pitch and caught his edge. It was an easy catch for the keeper and set England up perfectly just before tea.
West Indies 162/8 – Permaul 18 (c Lyth b Anderson)
Almost a cutter from Anderson tempted Permaul into a stab at the ball but it was a misguided try and Lyth was there at short leg to mop up and send him packing.
West Indies 178/9 – Taylor 25 (b Anderson)
Jimmy Anderson secured his first five wicket haul in the Caribbean, the 17th of his career as he blasted through Taylor with a quick delivery and clipped the stumps.
