The Bulldogs have snared young defender Joel Hamling as a delisted free agent.

The Western Bulldogs have added to its defensive stocks by signing delisted Cat Joel Hamling ahead of the 2015 season.
Hamling failed to make a senior appearance at Geelong, however he starred for the Cats’ VFL team this season.
“Getting in another key defender was important for us, and Joel adds a different dynamic to that group with his raw athleticism,” Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said.
“Joel has been part of an elite development program at Geelong, and having watched closely throughout the year, we believe he is not far away from playing good consistent AFL football.”
The 21-year-old was selected at pick no.32 in the 2011 draft.
The 194cm backman finished third the in the best and fairest for the Cats’ VFL side this season.
