The Tigers blizted the Dragons in the first half and went into the half-time break 20-4 ahead. In the second period they kept the Dragons at bay and added two more points from a penalty.
Wests’ first try came through James Tedesco, his special offload finding Kevin Naiqama in space on the right wing.
Soon after they had another try, with Tedesco getting his own four-pointer.
Then Tim Simona set up a Pat Richards with a freak pass. The Wests Tigers were flying.
On the 26th minute Ritchards had his second try. At 20-0 down the Dragons were in trouble.
But they managed to get on the scoreboard, Dane Nielsen finding his way over.
This gave them a chance but they couldn’t break through for another try.
The game became an arm wrestle, and got a little farcical late on when Jason Nightingale played the ball and picked it up himself to run again.
It was another good performance from the Tigers, who have now won both of their two NRL fixtures. Worrying signs for the Dragons though, who have yet to win a game this season.
