City have spent big this summer and several should be key men for their countries.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has been busy this summer, trying to ensure that his new side will have what it takes to take the title back to the blue side of the city.
fanatix takes a look at where his seven new signings will be during the hectic international weekend.
Stevan Jovetic
City paid £24.5 million to secure the services of Montenegrin striker, who has played for both Fiorentina and Partisan Belgrade.
Montenegro play Poland on Friday night and are without a win in three games and the striker will be hoping to add to his tally of 10 goals in 27 games in the Group H clash.
Alvaro Negredo
The Spanish striker has made an instant impact in the Premier League with two goals from Negredo’s first three games.
The forward has been included in the squad to face Finland, alongside David Villa, Roberto Soldado and Pedro.
The 28-year-old has managed 15 caps and scored seven goals since making his debut in 2009 and seems unlikely to feature in tonight’s match.
Fernandinho
The defensive midfielder has looked cool and collected since moving to the Citizens and has made it into the Brazil squad for Saturday’s game against Australia.
With only five caps to Fernandinho’s name, the 28-year-old looks unlikely to feature however.
Jesus Navas
Another impressive debutant this season, Navas has 29 caps to the winger’s name since the Spaniard’s first appearance in 2009.
The 27-year-old was a member of the side that won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship and should feature against Finland.
Should the £17m man click with Negredo, Fernandinho and the other established pros at City, then Pellegrini’s side are definite title contenders.
