Harry Kane is surely going to dominate transfer gossip columns yet again in the coming months as he faces what looks like being a pivotal summer in his career.
The England international recently became Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer, and he’ll have an eye on Alan Shearer’s Premier League record next, but will he break that record at Spurs or somewhere else?
Kane notably came close to moving to Manchester City a few years ago, with City willing to pay big for the prolific forward, though Tottenham stood firm and blocked their star player from joining one of their rivals.
Still, the problem remains that Kane is yet to win any silverware with his current club, so can they really keep hold of the 29-year-old for much longer, or will this finally be the year he pushes to join a more established big name?
We know that Daniel Levy doesn’t like to sell star players to Premier League rivals, but most betting sites currently have Manchester United as the favourites to be Kane’s next club, so that could help you win big with the help of Bovada bonus codes.
The reason Man Utd may now be the favourites for Kane is simple – the Red Devils urgently need a top striker, they have the kind of money that could tempt Tottenham, they now look more like a winning project than they did before, they can allow Kane to continue pursuing Shearer’s top flight goals record, and Kane’s contract situation no longer means Spurs are in as much control when it comes to turning down big bids.
Kane’s current THFC deal expires in 2024, so with the player turning 30 this summer, this is surely the north Londoners’ last chance to make big money from letting him go, and after so many years of loyalty and great form, he might justifiably argue that he deserves this chance at last.
Most bookies currently have United as 5/1 or 4/1 favourites to be Kane’s next club, but Bayern Munich might be in the picture as well.
The Bavarian giants are known long-time admirers of Kane, and they still don’t have a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who moved to Barcelona last summer.
Bayern are also a safe bet in terms of guaranteeing titles and the chance to play in the Champions League, but would Kane really give up on the Premier League scoring record just to win a German title or two?
One way or another, we’ll find out soon enough in what promises to be an intriguing summer transfer saga.
