Adam Lallana, Southampton
Of all the nominees the Saints captain is perhaps the biggest surprise as an inclusion, not because the 25-year-old doesn’t deserve it but because he plays for a supposedly “unfashionable” club.
That being said, another fine year with the south coast side makes it easy to see why the England international has got the nod – with nine goals and six assists in the English top tier.

Likeliness of winning: 4/10.
