Wolfsburg General Manager Klaus Allofs has hailed the impact that midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has had on the squad this season by claiming that Chelsea regret selling him, the Daily Mail reports.

The Blues allowed the young Belgium international to depart Stamford Bridge just over a year ago in a £17m deal after boss Jose Mourinho made it clear that he would not be featuring heavily in his plans.
Sitting just eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich, the 23-year-old is enjoying a strong first full season with the Bundesliga side.
And now Allofs has hinted that the Blues are missing the player’s dynamism in the middle of the park.
“At Chelsea they watch with appreciation as Kevin has developed,” he said.
“They’ve seen it confirmed why they were reluctant to let him leave.”
