Roy Hodgson’s England face tough group in Brazil 2014 trial run.
England were handed a tricky group in Thursday’s World Cup draw rehearsal but avoided the group of death, which included hosts Brazil plus Italy, France and Australia.
The Three Lions were drawn alongside holders Spain, the Ivory Coast and South Korean in group D.
The dud group saw top seeds Switzerland pitted against Chile, Japan and Greece.
The real draw takes place at 4pm GMT.
