Another player who seems to excel more for his country than his club, Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar is the third centre back in our team, with the Dutchman having put in three dominant aerial displays.
It is little wonder that he is nicknamed ‘Concrete Ron’, with Vlaar rarely having lost an aerial duel in the group stage as the physical and aggressive centre half in The Netherlands’ back three.
