Could this change in midfield work brilliantly for van Gaal?
With speculation today that Manchester United could be ready to loan out promising youngster Adnan Januzaj this January, possibly to Real Sociedad for a link-up with David Moyes, could this be part of a smart plan by Louis van Gaal?

Elsewhere, reports suggest that United could be about to bring in £40m-rated Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado, who would almost be a like-for-like replacement, except for the fact that he’d offer far more in the way of experience and versatility – something the United team needs right away, rather than the promise of a bright future from the Belgian teenager.
While the 19-year-old was superb last season, he remains a player who shouldn’t necessarily have a team built around him for the moment, and some regular playing time elsewhere to aid his development could be ideal.
Cuadrado, meanwhile, would be a superb addition to this squad and could offer the Red Devils something on either flank, centrally, or even at wing-back, showing himself to be a quality performer in all of these areas.
This speculation seems to make sense as United continue to rebuild their squad this January after many positive changes in the summer.
