5. John Cena vs. Kevin Owens in Singles Match
WWE’s highest-rated veteran versus NXT’s fastest rising star could be a candidate for match of the year if both of them take it seriously. Though Cena is undoubtedly the strongest man in the WWE, Owens has the strength and tenacity equivalent to Rusev and is a lot more willing to put his body on the line to get what he wants.
Owens will give Cena one of the hardest bouts he’s had since Brock Lesnar, but ultimately Cena will prevail once again.
Prediction: John Cena wins
6. Seth Rollins (c) vs. Dean Ambrose in Singles Match for WWE World Heavyweight Championship
After months of fruitless efforts to win the Intercontinental Championship, Dean Ambrose has parlayed his impressive skills in and out of the ring as well as on the mic into his first legitimate solo shot at WWE gold in months. Ambrose’s war with The Authority and his methods for getting what he wants are reminiscent of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s battles with the McMahons during the Attitude Era – and more often than not Austin came away with WWE gold.
The issue isn’t whether or nor Ambrose can beat Rollins but rather whether or not he can overcome the combination of Rollins, J&J Security and Kane in order to pick up the victory. The only way that scenario works is if Roman Reigns comes to the ring and prevents any interference, but even then – we all know in the back of our minds that Rollins will have a trick or two up his sleeve to escape with the win, as he has for the last three months.
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins and retains the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
