As the bell tolled and the druids made their way to the ring, escorting a casket to the ring, everyone and their grandparents knew that it meant the entrance of one man: The Undertaker.
But the casket was brought to the front of the arena in Memphis, Tennessee, it opened to reveal not The Immortal Undertaker, but The Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt. For weeks Wyatt had been making promos calling out a certain unnamed individual, but his appearance after mocking the Deadman’s entrance confirmed without words what everyone suspected, that Wyatt would face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXXI.
Wyatt proclaimed that The Undertaker was no longer the dominant monster that he once was when he was an undefeated 21-0 at Wrestlemania, but had gone soft after losing to Brock Lesnar last year. He promised to take the soul of The Undertaker and become the new face of fear in WWE.
Nobody has heard or seen The Undertaker in any WWE circles since losing to Lesnar at Wrestlemania XXX, and it will be a sight to see when he finally emerges from his semi-retirement to accept Wyatt’s challenge.
The Deadman cometh.
