7. John Cena (c) vs. Rusev in an “I Quit” Match for WWE United States Championship
Much like Brock Lesnar never loses a one-on-one match, John Cena never gives up. He has been knocked unconscious in the past, but Cena has not tapped out in a match in over a decade and has never lost an I Quit match even though he’s been in his fair share of them.
Rusev has been one of Cena’s greatest challenges to date, but he doesn’t come close to the likes of Lesnar, The Great Khali (back in 2007), Randy Orton, or Shawn Michaels in his legendary rivalries with them for a much more prestigious title. And his storyline frustration with his manager Lana, is going to cause his popularity to fall off a cliff should he make a clean break from her.
Prediction: John Cena wins – The only scenario in which Cena doesn’t win this match is if Rusev knocks him out. In that case, he’ll either be rewarded the title or it will be given to Cena because he didn’t say “I Quit.” Those possibilities aside, Cena has never lost a match with that stipulation in his career and no one should expect him too lose this first one.
8. Seth Rollins (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose in a Fatal Four Way Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are easily the most popular championship contenders are the roster right now and they’ve parlayed their growing fan popularity into multiple bites at the apple in the WWE title chase. But they’re going to find themselves running into a brick wall who knows all of the tricks in the book and can bend every rule to his will with Seth Rollins.
Their individual accolades, abilities and desires mean nothing: Rollins has this match in the bag because he has the full support of The Authority and the assistance of the eternally annoying J&J Security, who will interfere with the match at every turn and prevent Rollins from losing his title to just about everybody that isn’t also part of The Authority.
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins – With the added stipulation that Kane will be fired if Rollins fails to win the match, it’s almost a given that Kane will interfere in the No-DQ match and give the victory to Rollins again as he unwittingly did against Randy Orton at Xtreme Rules.
