4. WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) vs. The Miz and Damien Mizdow, Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
After using a bit of trickery to get win the WWE Tag Team titles from The Miz and Damien Mizdow last month, the Usos take on the Hollywood movie star and his stunt double in a rematch that will in all likelihood set up the winner for an exciting title defense at Wrestlemania XXXI. The Usos have never been closer or more formidable in the ring while Miz and Mizdow seem to be falling apart at the seems a tiny bit. With the most exciting tag team in the WWE going up against one of the only decent gimmicks in the last year, we will finally get a tag team match worth holding it in for.
Prediction: The Usos win and retain the WWE Tag Team Championship – This is the match that will serve as the catalyst for ending the long-running, but rather entertaining gimmick of The Miz and Mizdow, with the two of them likely getting into an argument of some sort during the match and costing them a chance to win.
5. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena vs. Seth Rollins (with J&J Security), Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
The WWE with the help of Triple H and The Authority has done a masterful job of making Seth Rollins into the kind of heel character Randy Orton hasn’t been in many years. Brock Lesnar finally defends his WWE title for the first time in months and we get to see John Cena in a title match also for the first time in months.
This will probably be the best title match since last year’s Wrestlemania and the consequences will be far-reaching: Who will own the WWE title? John Cena for his record-tying 16th time? Brock Lesnar as he continues his streak of sheer domination? Or will Seth Rollins give The Authority the Champion they eagerly wanted Randy Orton and Batista to be? We’ll find out tonight.
Prediction: John Cena wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Rest assured, John Cena will not enter Wrestlemania with the WWE title around his waist, but he will win this match, simply because he has the distinct benefit of not even needing to pin Brock Lesnar in order to win the actual title. All he needs to do is beat Rollins – a task he’s accomplished three times since October – and boom, 16th world title. A lot can happen between the end of that match and Wrestlemania XXXI however, so don’t expect either Rollins or Lesnar especially to let him keep it for long.
