7. The list of WWE’s surprise Royal Rumble returners from injury or hiatus will be… – Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, Bo Dallas, Chris Jericho, Zach Ryder, and one more to be named later…
6. “Yo, it’s me! It’s me! It’s D-D-P!” – Every year there is a surprise alumni entrance or several at the Royal Rumble, and this year it looks like it’s going to be WCW legend Diamond Dallas Page. In a year where the WWE has been getting the fanbase to continuously pine for the WCW stars of old, look for them to keep the fans’ mouths watering as one of the biggest legends of all-time, Diamond Dallas Page, makes his triumphant return to the squared circle – only to be be promptly eliminated by Rusev.
5. No encore from Sting – WWE is being very meticulous and precise with the number and nature of appearances that Sting is making. After appearing this past Monday night on RAW to once again stick it to Triple H, there really isn’t anything at stake in this Royal Rumble that would give Sting any reason to really show up at the Royal Rumble. As entertaining and exciting as it is to see the only man in wrestling history with as much mystique as The Undertaker, WWE is going to milk the anticipation for Sting’s in-ring debut to the last drop, which means he likely won’t show up again until the February pay-per-view event, WWE Fast Lane.
