2. John Cena wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – As much as people want to believe that John Cena is at a disadvantage in a Triple Threat match involving Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins, a Triple Threat match actually makes it easier for Cena to win the Title, since he doesn’t even need to beat Lesnar in order to win the title – simply pinning or submitting Seth Rollins would not only give Cena the Title, but would make for a very interesting revenge match between Cena and Lesnar as the Beast angrily tries to get back his title (or just decides to beat up on Cena after Rollins cashes in Money in the Bank). Either way, WWE has led us on too long with the idea that Cena was “this close” to beating Lesnar to NOT give Cena the title back at some point. Whether or not he gets to keep it is a whole other story.
1. Daniel Bryan wins the 2015 Royal Rumble Match – Much like John Cena’s win in 2013 or Batista’s win in 2014, this year’s Royal Rumble has been almost exclusively centered around the return and redemption of the most popular wrestler in the world. Not only is it the perfect story: A WWE great going to Wrestlemania to reclaim the World Title he never lost, but such a match would likely come against one of these incredible stars: Brock Lesnar (commence mouth watering), Roman Reigns (unlikely but intriguing matchup), Seth Rollins (if the writers are eager for yet another Bryan vs. Authority match) or even John Cena (Because why not?). The stars are already aligning themselves for a Wrestlemania XXXI that could top the highly-touted Wrestlemania XXX, and the only way that will happen is if Daniel Bryan wins the Royal Rumble – and that’s exactly why it’s going to go down that way. Heck, make him earn it by putting him in at No. 1 or 2, that’ll get everyone in a frenzy.
