5. Sting vs. Triple H in Singles Match
The two icons of the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW finally face off in a match for the ages. Triple H and the Authority have dominated the WWE in every which way, but Sting has been right there at every corner to thwart some of the WWE COO’s plans and humiliate The Game.
After lots of posturing and plenty of hocus pocus, the two icons will finally face off – though many years after their in-ring expiration dates – and rest assured both of the two wrestling veterans will be bringing every trick in their considerably sized books to try and beat the other to a pulp.
Prediction: Sting wins. Honestly, what would be the point of bringing him into WWE if only to make him lose?
6. Rusev (c) vs. John Cena in Singles Match for United States Championship
The giant Russian Rusev has been undefeated in the ring since entering the WWE and nobody has had an answer for him – not even super powerhouses like Mark Henry, The Big Show, or Sheamus. Even John Cena, who challenged Rusev for the title at WWE Fastlane came remarkably close only to be undone by distractions from Rusev’s manager Lana and a low-blow while the referee wasn’t looking.
Now Cena is back with a vengeance for another shot at the United States title. The last time he was in a United States title match at Wrestlemania was at Wrestlemania XX when he upset The Big Show and won the title – his first ever in WWE. Look for WWE’s fading franchise star to make history repeat itself 11 years later.
Prediction: John Cena wins the United States Championship.
7. The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt in Singles Match
The Demon of Death Valley has not appeared in a WWE ring since having his 21-0 Wrestlemania Streak broken at Wrestlemania XXX by Brock Lesnar. There was considerable speculation that the Deadman was done for good until Bray Wyatt issued an open, mockery-laced challenge that The Undertaker simply would not let slide.
Now for the first time since the worst defeat of his career, the legendary Undertaker will return to a WWE ring to confront “The New Face of Fear” in Wyatt, who hopes to finish off The Undertaker for good and end his storied career. Wyatt and The Undertaker are extremely similar in that they both can absorb incredible amounts of punishment and have speed unmatched for men of their size. This match will most likely steal the show.
Prediction: Bray Wyatt wins – If you think The Undertaker having his streak broken will shock the WWE, imagine the level of shock to see The Undertaker walking out of Levi’s Stadium with a LOSING streak!
