8. Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins in Singles Match
Randy Orton had been on the outs with The Authority since even before Wrestlemania XXX, and after Seth Rollins left The Shield and struck out on his own, he quickly and easily replaced Orton on the WWE food chain, earning numerous title shots and marquee matches while Orton was shelved due to injuries he had inflicted on the Apex Predator.
But after making his return to WWE, Orton waited until the time was right to strike and then promptly beat Rollins and his supporters to a pulp before forcing Rollins into a grudge match at Wrestlemania in a hard-hitting fight that is sure to contain viciousness on both sides.
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins. With J&J Security at ringside and plenty of support expected to come from The Authority, Orton will be too busy fighting off everyone else in the waning moments of the match to avoid a come-from behind win by Rollins.
9. Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns in Singles Match for WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Despite winning the 2015 Royal Rumble, the WWE Universe isn’t necessarily sold on Roman Reigns as a major force, much less as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Brock Lesnar on the other hand is the hot hand less than two months removed from one of the most incredible championship defenses in Royal Rumble history – not to mention he just signed a brand new deal with WWE and publicly said he has no intention of going back to MMA.
All of the politics aside, Roman Reigns doesn’t hold a candle to Lesnar in terms of size, speed and most of all strength. Reigns may be an explosive powerhouse with a unique array of finishing maneuvers, but Lesnar is absolutely indomitable and has taken down much larger and faster athletes than Reigns with considerable ease. If Brock Lesnar can take down The Undertaker when his only motivation is the desire to beat The Streak, how motivated do you think Lesnar will be to beat Roman Reigns and retain his WWE Championship?
Prediction: Brock Lesnar retains the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (but Seth Rollins cashes in Money in the Bank and wins the title from him at the end of the match)
