The Ivorian international has not been at his best for the defending Premier League champions this season, and looks to be one of the bigger names heading out of the club this summer in order to make way for a new wave of English talent.
And Italian site Sportsmediaset are claiming that he is in line for a reunion with former manager Roberto Mancini and will pen a four-year deal worth an astonishing £12.8 million.
Inter will cough up £5.7 million for the privilege, which will be boosted by all manner of bonuses should they manage to reach the Champions League.
With his current deal set to expire in 2017, City are willing to cash in on him now and get a proportion of the £24 million they initially paid for him back in 2010 rather than lose him for even less next summer.
