Yorkshire have confirmed the signing of Australian duo Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell as its overseas players for 2015.
Australia T20 captain Finch returns for his second season at Yorkshire after having enjoyed a successful campaign last term.
The 28-year-old will arrive at Headingley in May following his Indian Premier League commitments and will feature in all formats of the game.
Maxwell will also arrive following his IPL commitments and will play for the Yorkshire Vikings in the T20 Blast competition.
It caps off a memorable few days for the 26-year-old, who was named Australia’s T20 player of the year at the Allan Border Medal on Tuesday.
“As a club we’re absolutely thrilled to bits to be able to secure the services of two very exciting players in world cricket,” Gillespie said in a statement.
“Aaron (Finch) has been at the club before and for Glenn (Maxwell) this will be his first experience at Yorkshire County Cricket Club.”
Yorkshire kicks off its T20 Blast campaign on May 15 against the Derbyshire Falcons at Headingley.
