Nineteen-year-old picks Inter Milan instead.
Premier League giants Arsenal have been dealt a major blow with the news that summer striking target Mauro Icardi has decided to leave Sampdoria and join fellow Serie A outfit Inter Milan at the end of this season.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been keeping close tabs on the exciting young centre forward, as recently reported on Caughtoffside, but will be disappointed to learn that the 19-year-old will not be moving to north London this summer.
It is understood that the one-time Barcelona youth-team player does not feel it is the right time just yet in the development of his young career to be leaving Serie A for the English top flight and although he has made the choice to leave Sampdoria, Inter will be his next port of call, with the forward set to arrive at San Siro on July 1 on a contact that will last initially until 2017.
And, Icardi reportedly has one more tough decision to make going forward as both Argentina and Italy are said to be currently fighting over the player to persuade him to pick them as his national team.
