Star-studded international team finishes on 293 from their 50 overs at Lords.
The Rest of the World scored 293 for seven in their full 50 overs against MCC in the Lord’s bicentenary one-day match on Saturday.
India’s Yuvraj Singh top-scored with 132 after the Rest of the World had collapsed to 68 for five in the face of Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal’s burst of four wickets for five runs in 15 balls.
The match celebrated the 200th anniversary of Lord’s, Marylebone Cricket Club’s London headquarters ground since 1814 and widely regarded as the ‘home of cricket’.
MCC itself was founded in 1787.
Although it is more than 40 years since MCC ceased to run English cricket, it retains global responsibility for cricket’s rules or ‘Laws’ as they are known.
