Zlatan doesn’t want to stay with PSG; PSG wants Zlatan to stay with them.
Paris Saint-Germain super striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be heading to Emirates Stadium next year if he gets his way.
According to the Metro, Zlatan plans to leave the Ligue 1 giants this summer – though his intended destination is unknown. Any move out of Paris would come as a massive boon for Arsenal, who are seeking a new striker at an affordable rate.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is considered a big fan of the Swedish-born super striker. Wenger was believed to have been interested in signing Zlatan or his PSG teammate Edinson Cavani before the close of the summer transfer window.
Though he’s 33 years old now, Zlatan has still proved extremely capable of playing at the highest level, recording 106 total goals for PSG since 2012 (when he was 31).
Zlatan has 340 career goals between Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan and PSG – but he has yet to play in the Premier League.
The Metro noted that Zlatan has expressed interest in a move to the MLS or Qatar to close out his career. Some suspect, however, that he would like to retire in Sweden.
