He’s grown a bit long in the tooth, but Arsenal seem to think Zlatan is a good option at striker.
With the transfer window just hours away from closing and Arsenal still trying to land a striker, Arsene Wenger is poised to make Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic his big summer pickup.
According to the Metro, Arsenal are making a last-ditch effort to sign either the 33-year-old Zlatan or possibly Edinson Cavani before the transfer window closes.
The Metro reported that Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has given Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger his blessing to purchase Zlatan “before the transfer window passes.”
Wenger was spotted making a trip to Paris yesterday and was recently pictured in a bar with a man who is believed to have been either Cavani or a rep from Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsenal have scored just three goals this season – two of which have come from “own goals.” The club has 7 out of 12 points on the table.
Zlatan has scored double-digit goals in each of the last nine seasons and at least 30 total goals in each of his last four.
